4.5 Miles for 45 Days
About twice a year, I find myself trending towards too much comfortability. As humans, we are wired to seek comfort and I believe a life well lived is often found outside of that.
Starting this Tuesday, I’ll be running 4.5 miles for 45 days straight (October 21st - December 4th).
In 2022, my son, Tate, was born with a malformation of his esophagus (TEF) that required a 4.5 hour surgery. This year, I wanted to do something a bit crazy to honor Tate’s 4.5-hour surgery and impact the families with children in the NICU at Riley Children's Health.
My goal is to raise $5,000, the average out-of-pocket cost for a NICU family, so we can fully cover one family’s burden through Riley. I'll have more info on supporting the cause in the coming weeks.
It’d mean a lot to me if you could do any of the following:

If you are able to donate, it’d mean a lot if you’d let me know so I can attempt to estimate impact. If you’d rather do it anonymously, I understand that as well.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this - it means a lot.
