I've been thinking a lot about what, at the core, causes a company to succeed?

I’ve always been enamored with entrepreneurship, although I’m growing to dislike the word. What I’m growing more interested in, at a philosophical level, is what causes companies to succeed (long term)?

The Phil Knight quote, which I’ve shared before, of “Don’t stop til you get there and don’t give any thought to where there is” seems to somewhat answer my question.

Grand ideas, resources, etc certainly increase chances of success but the majority of companies that survive and thrive are the ones that simply show up with extreme levels of focus every day. Consistency, focus, and communication are at the core of everything durable.

The deeper I dive into this, the more I realize how applicable it is to teams, family, friendships, etc. I hope this drives some thought for you all.

If you know someone that would enjoy reading each Monday & Friday, please feel free to share! If not, that’s okay too.
