The Past Self

"Part of the human experience is to view our past selves as embarrassing or unintelligent" As I’ve spent time in reflection the past few weeks, I found myself focusing on moments in early 2024 and thinking "I had no clue what I was doing" or "I must've looked ridiculous." But, isn't that the goal?-Musicians often grow to dislike their past work.-Companies wonder how they ever had a product without certain features.-Athletes and teams question how they didn’t click earlier in the season.If the past self isn’t somewhat bizarre or embarrassing, I’d find that quite shocking. Our outputs today will seem trivial or simple as we evolve.
